Job Description:

Division of Undergraduate Education T.A. is assigned academic responsibilities and is supervised by the faculty in charge and R’Course Program Coordinator.

This role involves instruction of one to two class meetings per week of UGRC 001A and UGRC 001B while actively supporting student success through individual and small-group mentorship and timely feedback on coursework. In addition to instruction, the position drives curriculum development by designing lesson materials for the UGRC 001ABC series and fosters peer educator growth by observing R’Course Student Facilitators and providing structured, actionable feedback. Beyond teaching and mentorship, the role also ensures smooth operational workflows by assisting with general program administration.

TA-ships are full academic year appointments at 50% FTE. Candidates must be available to serve as T.A. for the entire academic year (09/21/2026 – 06/15/2027).

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be a registered UC Riverside graduate student in full-time residence (registered for 12 units per term)
• Maintenance of a qualifying grade point average
• Must be academically eligible to hold the appointment per UC Riverside Graduate Policy Webpage

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates should have experience in higher education, especially in instructional design and teacher development. Prior teaching experience may be considered but is not required.
