We are seeking outstanding clinical educators and clinician-scholars to join our growing academic department and participate in part-time and/or full-time inpatient and outpatient psychiatric practice within an academic medical center environment.

UCR Psychiatry offers a collaborative and mission-driven environment in which faculty practice clinically while working alongside medical students, residents, fellows, and interdisciplinary trainees. Faculty are encouraged and supported in pursuing scholarly, educational, and community-engaged activities. Our department is actively engaged in translational and community-partnered research, with collaborations across the university and with regional healthcare systems.

We welcome applicants with expertise across the full spectrum of psychiatric practice. Individuals with additional fellowship training or board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, or consultation-liaison psychiatry are particularly encouraged to apply.

A limited number of Medical Director roles (inpatient or outpatient) may also be available for qualified applicants with demonstrated leadership experience, including at least five years of clinical experience or a minimum of three years of administrative or program leadership in clinical settings.

Our mission includes expanding access to medical education and improving health outcomes in historically underserved communities. We welcome applicants who have demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and who are committed to advancing equity, inclusion, and community-engaged care.

Successful candidates will practice at UCR Health clinical sites and/or affiliated hospitals and practices throughout Riverside County, Orange County, and the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs region).
