Lecturer positions
University Writing Program
University of California, Riverside
The University Writing Program at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for full time and part time Lecturer positions during the 2025-2026 academic year. Teaching assignments are in English Composition and/or Entry-Level Writing classes, including ESL.
The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter and may be renewed based on the instructional needs of the Program and available funding.
Anticipated start dates:
Fall Quarter 2025: September 22, 2025
Winter Quarter 2026: January 5, 2026
Spring Quarter 2026: March 30, 2026
Salary:
See Table 15 for the salary range for this position:[https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2025-26/represented-july-2025-scales/t15.pdf]. A reasonable estimate for this position is $68,247 (full-time annual base rate), prorated according to appointment percentage.
An M.A. and two years of teaching experience at the college level are required. ESL certification and/or significant experience teaching second-language students will be relevant considerations in our search.
