Position description
The School of Business, home of the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of California, Riverside, invites applications for a tenured Associate/Full Professor of Information Systems. The desired start date is July 1, 2025.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Information Systems or in a related field. We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of scholarly research and high-quality publications as well as excellence in teaching. Candidates whose research extends to new and emerging areas of business and information technologies will be valued. We are building the IS area of our faculty to be strong in research that is relevant to current and future business needs in this domain and we expect the new faculty hire to help provide leadership in this endeavor. Depending on the candidate’s record, the position may be funded through a School of Business endowed chair.

The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2024-25/oct-2024-scales/t3.pdf) set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. “Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions. A reasonable estimated nine-month salary range for the associate professor position is $190,000 - $250,000 and for the full professor position is $220,000 - $300,000, inclusive of the salary scale and off-scale salary components.
Advancement through the faculty ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.
