Position description
The School of Business, home of the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of California, Riverside, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Management with a macro research focus (including strategy, strategic management, organization theory, innovation, entrepreneurship, and similar). Our priority is to recruit a scholar who will build on our existing strengths in these areas and advance the academic development of our rigorous research and teaching programs. The desired start date is July 1, 2025.

A successful candidate must have the demonstrated potential or proven record of accomplishment and interest in empirical research and teaching in Management. The candidate must have or be near completion of a Ph.D. in Management or a related field. The candidate must also have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research, teaching, and service, as well as personal and professional experiences, will advance the educational and co-curricular experience of our diverse campus community. We are particularly interested in hiring at the mid-assistant professor level.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay, which is determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Table 3: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2024-25/oct-2024-scales/t3.pdf . The salary range for this position is $103,700-$129,600. “Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
Advancement through the faculty ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.
