Lecturer positions
University Writing Program
University of California, Riverside

The University Writing Program at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for full time and part time Lecturer positions during the 2024-2025 academic year. Teaching assignments are in English Composition and/or Entry-Level Writing classes, including ESL.

The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter and may be renewed based on the instructional needs of the Program and available funding.

Anticipated start dates:
Fall Quarter 2024: September 23, 2024
Winter Quarter 2025: January 2, 2025
Spring Quarter 2025: March 26, 2025

Salary:
See Table 15 for the salary range for this position: [https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2023-24/july-2023-acad-salary-scales/t15.pdf]. A reasonable estimate for this position is $66,259 (full-time annual base rate), prorated according to appointment percentage.

An M.A. and two years of teaching experience at the college level are required. ESL certification and/or significant experience teaching second-language students will be relevant considerations in our search.

Although not required, including teaching materials such as syllabi and sample assignments will be useful additions to the application file.

An M.A. and at least two years of teaching experience at the college level are required.
