Position description
The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting faculty members within the Department of Family Medicine. We seek clinical educators to participate in full-time outpatient clinical practice in Family Medicine within an academic setting. These positions offer excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity. Experience in adult in-patient clinical practice and community health care is required. Successful candidates may practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated hospital in San Bernardino.

The successful applicants must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. The successful candidates must possess an M.D., or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and show completion of an ACGME accredited family medicine residency. Successful candidates will also be expected to show a strong commitment to the education of medical students and residents. The successful candidates will also be expected to participate in research, scholarly activities, University, and public service appropriate for the academic appointments in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Series. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and and at our affiliated hospitals as needed if inpatient practice is sought. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 for the salary range. The Base Salary range for this position is $121,100 - $320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://somacademicaffairs.ucr.edu/sites/g/files/rcwecm2346/files/2021-02/2021-02-11HSCP%20Plan.pdf), which provides eligibility for additional compensation.

Qualifications
Must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree
Must posses current California Medical License or be eligible for licensure in the State of California
Board Certified or Board Eligible with the American Board of Family Medicine
Completion of an ACGME accredited family medicine residency
Experience in adult in-patient clinical practice
Experience teaching medical students and residents
Experience in scholarly activity.
