Position description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) invites enthusiastic and effective instructors to apply for a part-time lecturer position available in the 2023/2024 academic year in the following areas: computer engineering, communications, robotics, controls, intelligent systems, machine learning, signal/image processing and computer vision. Students also complete a two-quarter senior design project in their final year, so the ability to advise such projects will be an added plus.

A minimum MSEE or MS degree in computer engineering, computer science and one year of substantial teaching experience. A Ph.D. degree in any engineering field or Physics is a preferred qualification.

Salary for winter begins January 1, 2024 and ends March 31, 2024; spring quarter begins April 1, 2024 and ends June 30, 2024; the academic service period for winter quarter begins January 3, 2024 through March 22, 2024; spring begins March 27, 2024 and ends June 14, 2024. Starting salary will be $79,118 based on a full-time appointment. Lecturer appointments are eligible for renewal depending on need, funding, and performance.
