Position title: JR. SPECIALIST
Salary range: The posted UC salary scales [( https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html )] set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 24B for the salary range. The Base Salary range for this position is $51,300 - $54,600.

Position description

A Jr. Specialist position with competitive salary and benefits is available immediately in Dr. Scott Pogan’s Laboratory at the School of Medicine of the University of California Riverside. Dr. Pogan’s research surrounds infectious disease and development of therapeutic measures to address such diseases. The Junior Specialist will be responsible for characterizing viral and human proteins to include those involved in immune response. This will include solving atomic level structures of antibody and antigen interactions as well as protein engineering. This appointment in a non-senate series.

The successful candidate must have a B.S. in a physical or life science field. Previous undergraduate research, or research experience is a plus. Successful candidate must have a clear potential or demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student body.
