Position description

The Department of Chemistry at the University of California-Riverside invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in the broadly defined area of New Chemistries and Materials for Sustainability. Candidates with expertise in developing new chemical processes and functional materials for energy and environmental sustainability are encouraged to apply. The Department is looking to expand its strengths in energy conversion and storage, environmentally benign and energy efficient synthesis, renewable materials, and green catalysis. All candidates must have a doctorate degree and be strongly committed to both undergraduate and graduate teaching. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests complement those of existing faculty and strengthen campus strategic initiatives. Preference also will be given to applicants who have the potential or demonstrated ability to successfully work with and benefit a diverse student body.
