The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in biological anthropology beginning on July 1, 2019. We seek a Human or Skeletal Biological Anthropologist with research expertise in one or more of the following areas: human health, diet, nutrition, disease, migration, adaptation to climate change, and/or plasticity in living or ancient human populations. Candidates should have a research agenda that examines human adaptation and survival amidst social and ecological transformations from a broad, intersectional, four-field perspective. Regional focus is open.

The successful candidate would join a diverse faculty committed to research that examines the intersections of power, identity, ideology, inequality, gender, class, race, and ethnicity. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience. A Ph.D. in Anthropology at time of appointment is required.

Complete applications must include a current CV, a cover letter of interest describing current and future research and teaching directions, a statement on potential contributions to diversity, copies of up to three publications, evidence of teaching excellence, and the names and contact information for three references.
