Position: Pooled Recruitment for Lecturers in Design for 2018-19

The Department of Theatre, Film, and Digital Production seeks to hire qualified lecturers with strong records of research, teaching and design. The candidates will be hired to teach one or more courses of the following in design for the Department of Theatre, Film and Digital Production, as well as to design mainstage productions:

• TFDP 101: Introduction to Design (Fall quarter)
• TFDP 133: Scene Design for Theatre, Film, and Television (Winter quarter)
• TFDP 172: Design in Production (Fall and Spring quarters), which will include
designing one department mainstage production.

Appointments will begin September 27, 2018 (Fall); January 7, 2019 (Winter) or April 1, 2019 (Spring) and continue for one quarter, with a salary of approx. $5,933 per course. Positions are contingent upon funding.

Required Qualifications: MFA or PhD in Design in film, theatre or related field, or a minimum of 3 years equivalent professional experience. The candidates should have broad experience in the design field, including lighting, CAD, etc. Teaching experience at the university level is desired.
