Position: Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series – Open Ranks

The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting a Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty member within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate and Full professor rank. This position is a full-time academic appointment in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series to practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine’s affiliated hospitals with opportunities for teaching and dedicated time for pursuing research/academic interests.

Advancement through the faculty ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.

Requirements – Applications are being sought from individuals who:
• Have an MD or DO degree.
• A California medical license at the time of employment.
• Is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or eligible for certification if within 3 years of completing residency.
• Have a background and skills in clinical practice, clinical teaching, managed care, leadership and utilization.
• Qualify for UC Riverside and affiliated hospitals medical staff privileges.

In addition to the above requirements, it is preferred that candidates:
• Be willing to live within a 30-minute drive of UCR’s affiliated hospital/s.

• Have experience/interest in research and creative activity.
• Have excellent communication skills.

Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. Applicants must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Applications will be considered until the position is filled. Initial review of applications will begin on April 5, 2018.
