The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) invites enthusiastic individuals who are effective teachers and care about student learning to apply for part-time lecturer positions available in the 2018/2019 academic year in the following areas:
Typical courses in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering include, but are not limited to, engineering circuit analysis, electronic circuits, digital design, embedded systems, control, electromagnetics, linear systems, and computer analysis of electrical systems. The successful candidate must have in-depth mastery of in at least three of the courses listed above, both in theory and in laboratory skills.
A minimum of a master’s of science in electrical engineering (MSEE) or a master’s of science degree in computer engineering and one year of substantial teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience in electrical engineering or computer engineering is preferred. A PhD degree in any engineering field or physics is a preferred qualification.
Appointments for the fall quarter are from October 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018; the academic service period for fall is September 24, 2018. Salary for winter quarter appointments are from January 1, 2019 to March 31, 2019; the academic service period for winter is January 2, 2019. Salary for spring quarter appointments are from April 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019; academic service period for spring is March 27, 2019. Salary for a full year appointment begins July 1, 2018 and ends June 30, 2019. Salary is $65,064 annually, based on 100% full time employment.
