Position description

The University of California Riverside (UCR) School of Medicine seeks to hire a tenured faculty member with the expertise in Cardiology to join faculty in the Division of Clinical Sciences. We seek an established physician scientist who is devoted to the academic excellence in clinical research with an emphasis on advanced cardiac imaging and structural heart disease assessment and guidance. Successful candidate for tenured position should also demonstrate notable scientific contributions and a track record of extramural support. To foster development of collaborative research in cardiology, the successful candidates will participate in a campus wide collaborative research across different units at UCR and the cardiology fellowship program at the UCR SOM.

The successful candidate must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Internal Medicine & sub specialized in Cardiology and hold current DEA license. Applicant must also qualify for the UCR affiliated hospitals medical staff privileges. The successful candidate should demonstrate notable scientific contributions, evidenced by high quality peer reviewed publications and a record of sustained extramural funding. Successful candidates will be also expected to show a strong commitment to education of medical students and residents, as well as University and public service. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
