Position: Assistant Professor of Spanish (Tenure Track)

Starting Date: July 1, 2018

Qualifications: Minimum requirements are a Ph.D. or “All But Dissertation” by the time of appointment.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

The Department of Hispanic Studies invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Spanish at the Assistant Professor level. We seek to hire a scholar working on the linguistic cultures of Mexico and/or Central America. Period is open. Disciplinary background may include sociolinguistics, second-language acquisition, contact linguistics, or discourse analysis; literature; cultural anthropology; comparative literature; visual studies; Latinx Studies; border studies; philosophy; gender studies; migration; performance studies; translation studies. Innovative combinations of these disciplinary fields are particularly welcome.
