Position description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside has a need for part-time or full-time Lecturers beginning the Fall quarter 2017/2018 to teach courses in the Mechanical Engineering curriculum, including but not limited to statics, dynamics, numerical methods, engineering analysis, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, experimental techniques, senior design and others.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, prior teaching experience preferred.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with appointment title.

Salary for fall quarter appointment begins October 1, 2017 and ends December 31, 2017; the academic service period for fall quarter is September 25, 2017 through December 15, 2017.

Salary for winter quarter appointment begins January 1, 2018 and end March 31, 2018; the academic service period for winter is January 3, 2018 through March 23, 2018.
Salary for spring quarter appointment begins April 1, 2018 and ends June 30, 2018; the academic service period for spring quarter begins March 28, 2018 through June 15, 2018.
