The Department of Chemistry at University of California-Riverside invites applications for three endowed chair positions. The positons are the George K. Helmkamp, Harry W. Johnson, and Hartland Schmidt Endowed Chairs, covering all fields of chemistry. Appointments will be made at the Full Professor level. In addition to having a vigorous research program and having a demonstrated record of success, the candidates are expected to show leadership qualities to strengthen interdisciplinary collaborations, develop new funding initiatives, and become fully engaged in the research and teaching missions of the Department and the University.
All candidates must have a doctorate degree and be strongly committed to both undergraduate and graduate teaching. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests complement those of existing faculty and strengthen campus strategic initiatives. Preference also will be given to applicants who have the potential or demonstrated ability to successfully work with and benefit a diverse student body.
