Position: Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series – Open Ranks
The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside anticipates openings for Health Sciences Clinical Professors at the assistant, associate and full professor level for Neurosurgeons in the Division of Clinical Sciences. These positions are full-time academic appointments in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series to practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine’s affiliated hospitals.

Advancement through the faculty ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.

Requirements – Applications are being sought from degreed candidates eligible for licensure in the State of California by the time of employment. Positions are dependent upon funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. In addition, a strong background and skills in clinical practice, clinical teaching, managed care, leadership and utilization are essential. Clinical teaching is required. Evidence of research and creative activity are preferred. Applicant must qualify for UC Riverside and affiliated hospitals medical staff privileges. Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications.
