History Lecturer Pool Recruitment for 2015-16 Openings
Position description
The Department of History at the University of California, Riverside, seeks to develop a pool of highly qualified lecturers to fill possible openings during the 2015-2016 academic year. Candidates in the following areas of specialization are invited to submit applications:
• United States History, with a preference for candidates specializing in the 18th and/or 19th centuries
• Native American History
• British and European History, with a preference for candidates specializing in British and early modern European history
• World History, with a preference for candidates prepared to teach World History surveys as well as courses with a regional specialization
Service for any candidates appointed will begin September 21, 2015 (Fall); January 4, 2016 (Winter); March 23, 2016 (Spring), and continue for one quarter, with a salary of $5391.32 per course.
For each position offered, the appointee will teach one lower-division or upper division course in one quarter, in accordance with curricular needs and faculty availability.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in History or a relevant field; documented record of teaching excellence in history in the fields involved.
