Lecturer position teaching TFDP 050 - Introduction to Public Speaking

The Department of Theatre, Film and Digital production at UC Riverside is seeking a lecturer to teach one course per quarter in Introduction to Public Speaking for one year (Fall 2015-Spring 2016). The course is a large-format class (150 students estimated) with two Teaching Assistants per quarter. The position is contingent on the availability of funds.

MA required and university teaching required, PhD in Communication, Speech, or Theatre preferred. The candidate must have experience in teaching basic courses in a communication and theatre-related fields. Must be able to teach basic courses in public speaking. In addition, candidate may have specialization in the areas of interpersonal, rhetorical or intercultural communication. Experience in teaching acting is also desired.

Salary: $5391 per course, per quarter

Qualifications: MA required, Ph.D. preferred. Teaching experience at the university level is required.
