Position description

The Graduate School of Education (GSOE) at the University of California, Riverside continues to develop its research and scholarly capacity through its nationally recognized faculty and take its place among the outstanding University of California institutions. We invite applications and nominations for tenure track or tenured (open rank) position in the area of Special Education, specializing in autism. The position will commence as early as July 1, 2015 or as negotiated.

We are seeking a scholar whose research focuses on autism and related disorders, and whose research is relevant for teachers and school psychologists who will be working with children on the autism spectrum, and our ongoing autism screening clinic. Ideally, this scholar will be able to build on our faculty capacity for research and intellectual leadership in diversity, families and children at risk. The faculty member will be a member of the Special Education Program, but have collaborative opportunities in School Psychology and Educational Psychology. Academic rank will be contingent upon the individual’s level of accomplishments in scholarly activity, as well as experience securing and directing grants, teaching, and mentoring graduate students. Salary and research support will be commensurate with an appointment within the University of California system.
