Salary: Based on rate of approximately $7,362.00 per course.

Recruitment Description: The Department of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside is seeking qualified applicants for Lecturer positions during the 2023-24 academic year. We anticipate needing to hire instructors for some or all of the following courses. Positions are contingent on available funding. Applications for Fall Quarter courses must be received by July 24, 2023, and by October 15, 2023 for Winter and Spring. All instruction will be in person. The Fall 2023 schedule is indicated below. Winter and Spring 2024 schedules are TBD. The initial review of applications will begin on July 24, 2023; applications must be received by then to be assured of consideration for the Fall. In addition, preference will be given to internal prior Pre-Six candidates.

Qualifications: The position requires a Master’s in a related field and one year of teaching experience at the college level. Advanced graduate work in Philosophy (ABD or Ph.D.) is a preferred qualification.

Duties: Undergraduate teaching of the course listed above.

Qualifications

Candidates should have minimum qualifications of an M.A. degree in a related field, with one year of teaching experience at the college level.

Preferred qualifications

A Ph.D. is a preferred qualification, but candidates that have attained ABD status will also be considered. In addition, preference will be given to internal prior Pre-Six candidates.
