MEDIA AND CULTURAL STUDIES DEPARTMENT
PART-TIME LECTURER POSITION
The Department of Media and Cultural Studies (MCS) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) invites applications for part-time Lecturer position for the Spring 2023 quarter. Spring 2023 quarter begins March 29, 2023 and ends June 16, 2023.

All new pre-six lecturer appointees are appointed at point 1. The salary for this position will be $7146 per course taught. (pending final budget approval). (pending final budget approval).
Qualifications:
Candidates should have minimum qualifications of an M.A. degree in a related field, with one year of teaching experience at the college level and a commitment to teaching excellence. Candidates should have scholarly expertise on topics related to the field of television and media studies. A Ph.D. is a preferred qualification, but candidates that have attained ABD status will also be considered. In addition, preference will be given to internal prior Pre-Six candidates. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong commitment to teaching. The candidate should also have an active and demonstrated commitment to diversity.

Completed applications must include: a cover letter that specifies your qualifications for the course you are applying for, a sample syllabus for the class you wish to teach, curriculum vitae, Statement of Teaching, Statement of Contributions to Diversity, recent teaching evaluations taught at the college or university level, and 3 letters of reference that assess teaching ability.
