Position description

The Sustainable Catalysis and Materials laboratory (www.the-sustainable-lab.com) in the Bourns College of Engineering has an opening for a postdoctoral scholar position in the area of solid oxide fuel cells with a particular focus on synthesis, electrochemistry, and characterization. This position will be in collaboration with a DOE Energy Frontiers Research Center on clean energy technologies.

The initial appointment would be for one year, with the possibility to renew for up to two more years based on the research performance. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience; the annual salary starts from $55,632 up to $66,600 based on the University of California regulations. This position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Environmental Engineering. Candidates should be familiar with writing protocols, managing day-to-day implementation of protocol procedures, ensuring quality data acquisition, analyzing multilevel repeated-measures data, writing manuscripts, and collaborating with students.

Qualifications
