Position description

The University of California Riverside, Department of Economics, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment in labor economics at the Assistant Professor level. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research explores policy-relevant issues in labor and labor-related fields.

The successful candidate must show potential for engaging in outstanding research and developing excellence in teaching graduate and undergraduate students. Candidates working in all areas of labor economics will be considered.

Applicants must be ABD or have met the requirements for the Ph.D. in Economics or a related field by the time of appointment July 1, 2023. Advanced assistant professors are encouraged to apply. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with eduacation and experience.

Advancement through the faculty ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.

Qualifications

Applicants must be ABD or have met the requirements for the Ph.D. in Economics or a related field by the time of appointment July 1, 2023.
