Position title: Associate Specialist

Position description

The Division of Biomedical Sciences in the School of Medicine at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting an Associate Specialist who will participate in mechanisms of mouse early embryo development. The Associate Specialist will be responsible for establishing the mouse early embryo micromanipulation platform for embryonic RNA microinjection and intracytoplasmic sperm head injection by micromanipulator, and other micromanipulation technologies such as blastomere isolation, embryo aggregation and embryo transfer. The Associate Specialist should also be familiar with the embryo imaging and analyzing platform depending on confocal microscopy. This position is an academic appointment in the non-senate series.

The successful candidates must possess a master’s degree (or higher degree) or have more than five years of experience in the field. Candidates at this level enable research as part of a team and may provide some independent input into the planning and execution of the research. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful candidates must also have the clear potential or demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student body.
