ETHNIC STUDIES DEPARTMENT
PART-TIME LECTURER POSITIONS

The Ethnic Studies Department at the University of California, Riverside, invites applications for part-time lecturer positions for the Spring 2022 quarter. Spring 2022 quarter begins March 23, 2022 and ends June 10, 2022.

Salary is $6326.59 per course (pending final budget approval).

Qualifications:
A completed M.A. in Ethnic Studies or a related or equivalent discipline, and previous teaching experience at the college or university level, is required. Priority will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching Ethnic Studies and who are knowledgeable in the area(s) of: African-American Studies, Chicano/a Studies, Native American Studies and Research Methods.

Course offerings are subject to availability of funding. Applications are welcome from persons qualified to teach:

Spring 2022
• ETST 003 – Introduction to African American Studies in Comparative Perspective
• ETST 008 – Chicano Expressive Culture
• ETST 118 - American Indian Identities
• ETST 181 - Southwestern Indian History

Provide a cover letter that specifies your qualifications for each position you are applying for, a sample syllabus for the class you wish to teach, curriculum vitae, Statement of Teaching, Statement of Contributions to Diversity, recent teaching evaluations taught at the college or university level, and 3 letters of reference that assess teaching ability.
