Positions: Professor of Clinical X and Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series – Open Rank

The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting faculty members within the Department of Family Medicine. We seek clinical educators to participate in full-time inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in Family Medicine within an academic setting. These positions offer excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity. Experiences in adult in-patient clinical practice and community health care are required. Successful candidates will practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated hospital in San Bernardino.

The successful applicants must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. The successful candidates must possess an M.D., or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and show completion of an ACGME accredited family medicine residency. Successful candidates will also be expected to show a strong commitment to education of medical students and residents. The successful candidates will also be expected to participate in research, scholarly activities, University, and public service appropriate for the academic appointments in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Series. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospital. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Possess an M.D. or equivalent degree

Candidate eligible for licensure in the State of California or has current California Medical License

Board Certified or Board Eligible with the American Board of Family Medicine

Completion of an ACGME accredited family medicine residency

Experience in adult in-patient clinical practice, obstetrics and community health care.

Experience teaching medical students and residents
Experience in scholarly activity.
