Pediatrics – Various Specialties
The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics. The successful applicants must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. We seek clinical educators to participate in part-time and/or full-time inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in Pediatrics within an academic setting in one or more of the following clinical specialties:
• Cardiology
• Dermatology
• Endocrinology
• Gastroenterology
• Pulmonology
• Nephrology
• Neurology
These positions offer excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity. Applicants with experience in providing inpatient and/or outpatient pediatric care, newborn exams, and ER consults are encouraged to apply. Experience and interest in chronic disease management and working in interdisciplinary teams are preferred. Successful candidates will practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated hospitals in the Riverside and surrounding areas. Successful candidates will benefit from collaborative research with colleagues in Biomedical and Clinical Sciences Divisions with active research programs in cardiology/cardiovascular biology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, addiction, and infectious, metabolic or renal disease.

Successful candidates must possess an M.D., or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified in Pediatrics and board certified or board eligible in the subspecialty following successful completion of 3 years of fellowship. Successful candidates will also be expected to show a strong commitment to education of medical students and residents. The successful candidates will also be expected to participate in research, scholarly activities, University and public service appropriate for the academic appointments in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical series. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospitals. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
