The Department of Chemistry in the University of California, Riverside invites applications for the following two faculty positions in any sub-discipline of Chemistry: (1) a tenure-track Assistant Professor position and (2) a tenured Associate Professor position. All candidates must have a doctorate degree and will be expected to establish a nationally and internationally recognized research program. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests complement those of existing faculty and strengthen campus strategic initiatives. Applicants should be strongly committed to both undergraduate and graduate teaching. Preference will also be given to applicants who have evidence of or strong potential for commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for underrepresented students and groups, and can integrate those values with teaching, research, and service.

This search is part of the University of California Office of the President Advancing Faculty Diversity recruitment program. The Associate Professor appointment would be hired under the title "Provost's Professor for Advancing the Physical Sciences" and would have an anticipated start date of July 1, 2020. The Assistant Professor appointment will include an enrichment option to complete up to a year of postdoctoral training anywhere in the United States in 2020-2021. During the enrichment period, UCR will provide salary and benefits, support for professional travel, and funding for research expenses. The appointment to the rank of a tenure-track faculty member at UCR for the Assistant Professor position could have an anticipated start date of either July 1, 2020 or July 1, 2021.
