The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) invites enthusiastic and effective instructors to apply for part-time lecturer positions available in the 2018/2019 academic year in the following areas: engineering circuit analysis, electronic circuits, digital design, embedded systems, control, electromagnetics, linear systems, and computer analysis of electrical systems. Students also complete a two quarter senior design project in their final year.
An MS or higher degree in electrical or computer engineering is required to teach regular ECE classes. Applicants with degrees in computer science, physics and similar areas or Applicants with Professional degrees may also qualify. Engineers with a BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience are encouraged to apply to supervise senior design projects.
Appointments for the fall quarter are from October 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018; the academic service period for fall is September 24, 2018. Salary for winter quarter appointments are from January 1, 2019 to March 31, 2019; the academic service period for winter is January 2, 2019. Salary for spring quarter appointments are from April 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019; academic service period for spring is March 27, 2019. Salary for a full year appointment begins July 1, 2018 and ends June 30, 2019. Full time employment covers 9 quarter-based courses, with an annual salary of $66,691. Salaries for part-time positions will be pro-rated accordingly.
