The Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of California, Riverside seeks to hire a scholar at an Open rank (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) specializing in Spanish Peninsular literature and culture, sub-field open, period open (though post-18th century is preferred). Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of publication and teaching excellence or exhibit the potential for research and teaching excellence. Research and teaching interest in film and media studies, critical theory/political philosophy, LGBTQ studies, visual arts, and innovative combinations of these fields are particularly welcome.

Senior applicants must have a Ph.D. in a related field and a record consistent with tenure at a research university. The position is expected to begin July 1, 2019. Salary will be commensurate to education and experience and the position will remain open until filled.
