The Department of the History of Art at the University of California, Riverside expects a temporary a part-time opening for a visiting assistant professor during the 2018-2019 academic year, pending final budgetary approval. The salary for each course is approximately $8,000. Courses listed below may vary in number and quarter of offering. M.A. and one year of teaching experience at the college or university level is required. Based on qualifications we may consider splitting the appointment between individuals. Review of applications will begin June 9, 2018, and continue until positions are filled.

Teaching responsibilities include one lower-division in Winter quarter, 2019, and one graduate-level course in Spring quarter, 2019; other responsibilities include advising students and participating in department service.

Applications must include a cover letter, CV, recent samples of teaching evaluations, a statement of contribution to diversity, and two letters of recommendation. Electronic submission is strongly encouraged.
